These animals feel pain and suffering, this is inhumane to treat another live being in this way, our heritage has it wrong if it is thought that this sort of brutality is acceptable. Its time we started treating our co inhabitants with some respect, otherwise we just keep perpetuating the cycle of pain and suffering on this planet, or - as you sow - so shall you reap (Holy Bible) and other scriptures mention also that whatever you do comes back to you Its called Karma or cause and effect and it is a universal Law. We will not have love and benevolence untill we stop the bloodshed and the brutality towards humans and animals
